Volusia - Seminole Group to Start Just-for-the-Fun-of-It Sports Group

Come join Over the River, an adult social group serving the needs of the gay, lesbian, bi, trans, and straight supportive communities of Volusia and Seminole Counties on the 4th Sunday of every month from 3 PM -6 PM at Mariner's Cove Park at 1199 Enterprise-Osteen Rd. in Enterprise. All skill levels are welcome to join in on the fun. The teams are coed and noncompetitive.

A variety of activities are promised and the group has a complete volleyball setup, a badminton set, horseshoes and a basketball. Look for the OTR banner near the softball and soccer fields. The park is located about 4 miles off I-4 at exit 53 ( Deltona/DeBary). Admission to the park is free and the facilities include restrooms, a basketball court, tennis courts, a boat ramp, and large, open grassy areas.

The group will have its first sports outing in style with a pass-the-hat sports equipment fundraiser cook-out/pot luck at a member's home in Deltona on May 27th beginning at 3 PM. For more information, contact OTR. *Special note: if you don't like sports or can't play sports, consider coming out to the games anyway. You, along with Barbara Streisand, will realize that people who need people are the luckiest people in the world. (Besides, you'll have a gay ol' time!)

The group has over 160 people on its email list serve and people come to the group's monthly gathering from as far away as Kissimmee, Ormond, Daytona, Orlando, Palm Coast, and Brevard and Lake counties.
